Which Class Should I Take?

Level 1 is best for you if:

  • You have never studied belly dance before
  • You have studied belly dance for less than a year
  • You have studied belly dance before, but not recently
  • You have studied with another teacher, but want to get a solid foundation in my technique and style before moving on to Level 2.

Most students will start at this level, and take it for a full year (3 sessions).

Each class session is different, with the most important moves repeated every session (so you can cement them before moving up to Level 2), and other material varying from semester to semester.

Contact me for placement in Level 2 if:

  • You have taken my Level 1 class for 2 or more semesters, and can perform the basic movements correctly, and with clean posture, OR
  • You have completed advanced beginner or intermediate level classes with another teacher

Contact me for placement in Level 3 if:

  • You have taken my Level 2 class for at least one year (likely more), and feel ready for more challenge, OR
  • You have completed intermediate or advanced level classes with another teacher
  • AND You can play basic patterns on finger cymbals while dancing (if not, you can learn in Level 2)
